The monarch died on Sunday morning, 29 October, 2023 in an Abuja hospital where he was receiving treatment for age-related ailment, according to palace sources. He died at the age of 94. He will be buried later in the day in Okene according to the Islamic rites.The paramount ruler of Ebiraland was the Vice Chairman of Kogi State Traditional Council.
