At least 54 corps members from University of Calabar (UNICAL) have been demobilised and will be prosecuted by the NYSC management. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has obtained a total of 302 years imprisonment for three kingpins and 16 other offenders for trafficking and dealing in illicit drugs such as cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis and opioids. The Nigerian military in the last week has eliminated 147 terrorists, apprehended 381 suspects and rescued 113 kidnapped hostages across the country.
