The Ogun State Government has directed school heads to ensure good health and safety of all learners and staff to prevent the spread of cholera within the school communities. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, in a statement on Wednesday, said preventive measures have been put in place to control the spread of the disease in schools in the state. In an effort to boost agriculture in kogi State, the State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has unveiled the Community Revolving Fund loan disbursement allowing cluster groups of farmers in the State to access $25,000 each. The CRF loan is facilitated under the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes project in collaboration with the World Bank. Court documents have revealed how the sum of $6,230,000 allegedly stolen from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on February 8, 2023, was shared and invested into real estate by personal assistant to former CBN boss, Godwin Emefiele and others. The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has condemned the recent outbreak of violence and subsequent breakdown of law and order at various Local Government Council secretariats in Rivers State, where supporters of two political factions clashed over the tenure of Local Government Council Chairmen.
