 Oyo State government, on Tuesday, approved the commencement of the Light-Up Oyo State project, which is to cover 70 roads and 223.42 kilometres across the five geopolitical zones of the state. The Senate has received three requests from President Muhammadu Buhari for the confirmation of nominees to serve on the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC); Federal Character Commission; and the Federal Civil Service Commission. The State of Osun Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu has disclosed that the state was now awaiting the results of 30 samples from the contact tracing it embarked on at the weekend through Monday. The samples were sent to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC accredited Testing Centre, the African Centre of Excellence in Genomics of Infectious Diseases, Ede, Osun. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has lifted suspension placed on cheque instruments in the Nigerian clearing system. Consequently, cheque instruments will be allowed to pass through the clearing system from today, April 28. In a circular to banks and Nigeria Interbank Settlement system (NIBSS), CBN Director, Banking Services Department, Sam Okojere, said the bank lifted the temporary suspension of cheque clearing in Nigeria to make payment efficient for customers. Sixty four new cases of coronavirus were reported in Nigeria on Monday,  27 April, 2020, The Gazelle News.com reports. The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this on its Twitter handle at 11.20pm on Monday, 27 April, 2020.
