The Lagos State Ministry of Health has released the names of two passengers on board the Turkish Airline flight which brought the Italian who imported coronavirus into the country, declaring them wanted. President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has called on managers and administrators of education in the country to consider a review of the curricula in educational institutions at all levels. Operatives of the Economic and financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested one Oladimeji Olusegun Ogunfolaju, owner of Lakers Hotel and Lake County Entertainment in Lagos, and 79 others for allegedly involving in internet fraud. The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Monday declared a two-week warning strike against non-payment of salaries of lecturers not enrolled in the Federal Government’s Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System. National President of the union, Biodun Ogunyemi, who read the declaration after the ASUU National Executive Council meeting held in Enugu, said the warning strike takes effect today, March 9. Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll has been dethroned over disrespect to the office of the Governor and other government agencies. Police in Kano State have confirmed the death of four family members in an accident involving a trailer belonging to a cement manufacturing company and a motorcycle at Dorayi Quarters in Kano city. The Nigerian government on Monday, 9 March, 2020, confirmed the second case of novel coronavirus in the country.
