Nigerians, particularly Christians have been advised to imbibe Jesus Christ’s virtues of love, peace and neighborliness as positive steps of moving the country forward.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire gave this advice in her Easter message to Nigerians particularly Christians in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Presidential Aide stated that the Easter period called for sober reflection on the part of Nigerians particularly Christians and the need to intensify efforts at contributing positively to nation building.
“Jesus Christ in his life time symbolised peace, love and neighborliness. He shared and preached peace and love while laying emphasis on love for one another, promoting good neighborliness as a pillar of cordial communal living.
“I want us to imbibe these qualities which I believe will engender just and peaceful society for us in the country,” she said.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire also urged Christians not to relent in praying for the nation and its leaders noting that, “at the level of governance, I want to appeal to Nigerians not to relent in their prayers and support for our leaders.
“On behalf of my family, I wish you all, a fruitful, happy and fun-filled Easter celebration, may we live to witness more of it by His special grace”.
