The Chairmanship aspirant for Agege Local Government on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nurudeen Bukola Sofidiya, has called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims not to relent in their prayers for Nigeria even after the end of the Ramadan fasting.
The foremost aspirant gave this advice in his Sallah message to the people of the state particularly the Agege people.
“Ramadan offered us the opportunity to move closer to God in worship, prayers and supplication, we should not abandon all these just because the fasting is over,” he said.
Sofidiya, popularly called Gidado by his admirers, said that the challenges facing the country are not insurmountable saying prayers serves as one way to tackle challenges.
He reminded Nigerians, Lagos and Agege people that being Godly is an essential part of good governance and nation building.
Gidado however cautioned that while being Godly, “We must be determined to work together, in action and utterances to make the country great”.
