The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Rt Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni has felicitated with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; and the state Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu on their birthday celebrations which come up today, Saturday, 25 June, 2022.
According to a statement from his Media Office, Rt Hon Eshinlokun-Sanni described the duo as among those who have put the name of the state in positive focus across the globe.
While the House of Representatives Speaker is celebrating his 60th birthday, Sanwo-olu clocks 57 same day.
“Rt Hon Gbajabiamila and His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu are worthy Lagisians ans we are proud of what they have been able to achieve and how they have represented the state positively in the outside world,” he said.
According to him, both the Speaker and the Governor “have contributed immeasurably to the development and growth of the state. They deserve all the accolades and best wishes”..
The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly stated that since his assumption of office as Speaker of the country’s Lower Legislative Chamber, Rt Hon Gbajabiamila has worked tirelessly not only for the development of Lagos but also for the unity and progress of the country.
“The achievements of the Sanwo-olu administration have become benchmark for other states of the Federation to emulate. He has put in place an administration that has continue to serve as positive role model for other states in the country,” he said.
Eshinlokun-Sanni also lauded Gbajabiamila and Sanwo-olu for their roles in ensuring that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged the Presidential Candidate of the party during the party’s primary election which took place in Abuja.
“It is on record that while Governor Sanwo-olu was in the forefront of mobilisation of his colleagues, the Rt Hon Speaker led from the front in the National Assembly and Abuja making us triumphant in the end. Kudos to these worthy Ambassadors of Lagis.
“I wish Rt Hon Gbajabiamila and His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu happy birthday celebrations. I pray God give them long, healthy life in the service of their families, the state and the country in general,” he said.
