Three Senators: Senator Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, Oyo Central Senatorial District; Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule, Lagos West Senatorial District; and Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Lagos East Senatorial District top of the list of awardees as the Lagos State Branch of the Lagos State University (LASU) Alumni celebrates 40th Anniversary of the establishment of the university on Sunday, 18 October, 2024, reports thegazellenews.com
This was disclosed on Tuesday, 15 October, 2024, by the Chairman of the Lagos Branch of LASU Alumni, Barrister Omolola Satar while speaking with the media.
Other awardees include: the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence, Honourable Olujimi Benson; Principal Private Secretary to the President, Hakeem Muri-Okunola; the Elegushi of Ikateland; His Royal Majesty Saheed Elegushi; the Commissioner of Police for FCT Police Command, CP Rilwan Olatunji Disu; the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Lagos, DCP Ahmed Lateef Adio; the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration for Interpol in Lagos, DCP Bisi Lawal-Balogun; current Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello; her immediate predecessor, Professor Lanre Fagbohun; the National President of LASU Alumni, Major General Cecil Ezekigbe (rtd); the Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Professor Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye; the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa among others.
Others to be honoured include: Justice Yemisi Ilori Adelaja of the FCT High Court, Abuja; Chairman of LASU Alumni Board of Trustees, Mr Fatai Olusegun Sonoiki; and the Lagos State Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinfa.
The Commissioner of Police for Ogun State Police Command, Abiodun Alamutu will also be honoured.
