The former Auditor General for Local Governments in Lagos State, Alhaji Muhammad Mubashiru Hassan has congratulated the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and his Deputy, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, over their victory at the Appeal Court which upheld their victory during the last Governorship election in the state.
Alhaji Hassan said the Appeal Court victory was a confirmation of the freely given mandate of the people to the duo.
“The people of Lagos State feely gave their mandate to both the Governor and his Deputy and the Appeal Court has confirmed this. It’s a sweet victory for all of us, particularly our amiable Governor and his Deputy,” Alhaji Hassan said.
He urged the duo of the governorship candidates of the Labour Party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour; and his People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul Azeez Olajide Adediran to join hands with the Governor and contribute their quota to the development and growth of the state.
According to Hassan, the Governor has been very humble in victory by inviting his rivals to join hands with him to take the state to greater heights.
“My advice to them is to accept the Governor’s invitation and join hands with him to develop the state. Sanwo-Olu has been very magnanimous and humble in victory, they should just accept his offer,” he said.
