A former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro has extended his warmest congratulations to the highly-revered Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, as he celebrates his 80th birthday anniversary.
Senator Obanikoro, in a personally signed statement, recognizes Oba Akiolu as a distinguished custodian of our cultural heritage and a symbol of unity in our diverse and vibrant city. “His reign has been marked by wisdom, integrity, and a deep commitment to the development and progress of Lagos State. In his message, Senator Obanikoro stated that “Oba Akiolu has been a pillar of strength, an advocate of peace, and a tireless promoter of our cherished traditions. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering harmony and growth in Lagos. We are grateful for his unwavering dedication to our beloved city”
The former Nigerian High Commissioner to the Republic of Ghana stated further that, “as we celebrate Oba Akiolu’s 80th birthday, we must also acknowledge the enduring legacy of the Lagos monarchy which serves as a reminder of our rich history that has shaped our great state and the bright future that lies ahead”.
