The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has described Novel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka as a Nigeria’s gift to the world who deserves all the accolades, honour and praises shower on him as he clocks 90 on Saturday, 13 July, 2024.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire described the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize winner for Literature as not only Nigeria’s pride but also a pride to the whole continent of Africa who has always represented the country and the continent with honour.
“You’re a role model to many all over the world, you’re not only a global literary giant, you’re also a humanist, a human right activist who has spent his time, money and work to fight for the emancipation of the downtrodden,” she said.
The Presidential Aide further described Professor Soyinka as a honest man who speaks truth to the authority with no care for whose ox is gored.
“You have brought honour and glory to Nigeria and the African continent, and your legacies will continue to inspire the youths world over for years to come.
“We love you, we adore you, we cherish, happy birthday Kongi,” Princess Orelope-Adefulire said.
