Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has sent warm felicitation to a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Chief Wole Olanipekun who turns 70 today, 18 November, hailing his contributions to the nation’s judiciary.
Oyetola in a statement released in Osogbo by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, said he was very delighted to join the Olanipekun family, friends, associates and members of the legal profession to celebrate the erudite lawyer whose life, he said, has been marked by outstanding achievements and accomplishments.
He described Olanipekun as a patriotic Nigerian, respected elder statesman and an accomplished legal practitioner who has mentored and contributed to the success of several other lawyers that have passed through his tutelage.
The Governor lauded the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for his integrity, unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s unity and development, service to humanity, philanthropy, patriotism and passion for democracy and good governance.
“On behalf of the government and people of Osun, I heartily felicitate you on the auspicious occasion of your 70th birthday. I thank God for allowing you to reach this privileged milestone and for your life that is dedicated to jurisprudence and selfless service to the nation and humanity.
“As you join the league of Septuagenarian today, I wish you longer life in good health, and greater service to our nation, God and humanity. Happy birthday, Sir,” Oyetola said.
