The Chairman of Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Honourable Razaq Olusola Ajala hailed the victory of the President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), describing it as victory for democracy, justice and the Rule of Law.
Reacting to the ruling, Ajala stated that justice has been served and it was served in the most transparent manner.
“This is victory for democracy, justice and the Rule of Law. The judges displayed sense of justice and transparency and for more than 12 gruelling hours, they took us through tutorial in law.
“They examined each petition paragraph by paragraph and tell us reasons why they are throwing out such demand backed with relevant law. Even when they throw out the President’s challenge on the candidacy of Peter Obi, they stated the reason with the law quoted.
“I’m impressed not only because my party and candidate won, but also by the transparent manner the victory was achieved,” Ajala, who is also the Secretary General of Conference 57, umbrella organisation of the council Chairmen in Lagos, said.
He urged the opposition to join hands with President Tinubu and APC in actualising the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“It’s a collective task we must all participate in. We’re always humble in victory and we are extending our olive branch to the opposition to join hands with our President and party in taking the country to greater heights,” he said.
