The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has urged Christians and Nigerians in general to imbibe Jesus Christ’s virtues of love, peace and perseverance as part of efforts at making the country great.
In her Christmas message to Christians and Nigerians in general, Princess Orelope-Adefulire also urged them not to relent in their support and prayers for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, noting that making the country great involves collective efforts of all: the government and the governed.
“Christmas is a period to rejoice and jubilate over the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, while we rejoice and jubilate, we should also have our own sober reflection over the teachings and virtues of Christ.
“Christ lived all his life preaching peace, love and perseverance. We should imbibe all these qualities. We should live in peace, promote love among ourselves and persevere in the face of any seeming difficulty. For us there is always light at the end of any dark tunnel,” she said.
“Since coming on board, the Tinubu administration has shown tremendous intent to better the lots of Nigerians and I assure you that the President has good intentions and is working assiduously to improve the socio-economic life of Nigerians.
“But the government cannot do it alone. To achieve resounding success, we must support government in its determination to get things right and we should also continue to pray for the success of this administration,” she said.
According to her, in the coming months and year, Nigerians will start to reap from the policies of the Tinubu administration.
“I wish you all, particularly, our Christian brothers and sisters a merry and fulfilling Christmas celebration,” the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State said.
