84-yr-old Father Of Seven Machetes Wife, 75, To Death For Refusing Him Sex
An 84-year-old man, Gabriel Uhuwa, is currently cooling-off his feet in one of the police cells in Edo State for allegedly killing his wife for refusing to have sex with him.
The State Police command confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, 16 August, 2023 while parading 198 suspects arrested for offences ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping and unlawful possession of firearms to murder and cultism among others.
The command Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, said Uhuwa was arrested for allegedly killing his 75-year-old wife for refusing to have sex with him.
Nwabuzor, who said Uhuwa has been having issues with his wife over her alleged refusal to have sex with him whenever he asked, added that the octagenarian was not remorseful and he felt what he has done was the best solution to his problem.
“My wife was not listening to me. Any time I asked her to come and sleep with me, she always declined. We have seven children together, five boys and two girls,” the suspect said, noting that he had reported the matter to his children and that one of her daughters came to talk to his wife but she didn’t listen.
“I reported the matter to my family and her family members but she failed to listen to them and continued her old ways and I was hearing information that pastors were sleeping with her,” Uhuwa said while speaking with newsmen.
