Bolanle Okusanya Feyita, a renowned make-up artist, is the first daughter of the late MIC Royal Limited boss, Tunji Okusanya.
She proved critics wrong that apart from a male child, a well-nurtured female child can also make the parents proud. After the demise of her father and the first son, Tunji jnr, whom her late father had been grooming to take over the family business empire before death came calling, Okusanya-Feyita, who was based in London relocated to Nigeria and took over the business of burying the dead from where her father and brother left it and gave us the impression that the vacuum would be adequately filled.
She set up her business with a new name, LTJ. LTJ is a short form of Olatunji to keep the memory of her beloved father and brother alive. Her late father was Olatunji and her brother was Olatunji as well.
Eight years after their demise, the memories of the dead continue to linger.
Thus, Bolanle penned a tribute in their honour. The moving tribute is presented below:
‘The world has changed so much in 8 years. So many people have lost loved ones, suddenly.
I pray you find comfort reading this. Please share with others. Time passes, Love remains… love never fails
When death occurs suddenly, 8 Sure Things
1.Death is not a respecter of person, ‘good’ and ‘bad people die.
2.The world will not stop. Giant or insect, life continues regardless of who departs.
3.Death is not a respecter of age. People have lived to ninety something and their children’s children precede them.
4.Bad news travels speedily. Everyone wants to be the first to announce…. and you will never seem to forget where and when you heard.
5.You may not reap where you sow, most people are only in your world because you are useful to them. Yoruba people say ‘oju aye’ which translates into ‘eye service”.
6.Grief especially when sudden has unbelievable power that needs to be managed. In moments the hardest people can become very frail.
7.Nollywood is filled with so many true examples! You can never be sure of how people will react, what they will do, or not do. If you are bold enough, fake your death and see the results ;).
8.Memories good and not so good are priceless. Time passes, Love remains.
