Hours after the burial of Kenyan Olympian and World Bronze medallist, Agnes Tirop, another Olympian has been shot dead.
Agnes Jebet Tirop was brutally stabbed to death by her lover in Elgeyo Marakwet, Kenya.
Just hours after her burial, another Olympic athlete was pronounced dead in his country.
Thirty two years old Alex Quinonez from Ecuador was shot dead by unknown people on Saturday, 23 October, 2021.
He was found lying in a pool of blood by family members.
Family members and officials of the Ecuadorian Sports Ministry have confirmed the incident.
