Twin brothers: Chukwuemeka and Chukwuebuka Okpe, and their mother, Mrs Cbinwe Okpe are currently in police net on allegations of rape and abetting rape respectively, reports The Gazelle News.com.,
The twin brothers were accused of raping and defiling a 10 years old girl who lives with her mother in the house where the twin brothers’ mother is the Caretaker.
According to Punch report, the victim was raped twice by the brothers and when she reported to the mother who is the Caretaker of the Hiuse, she slapped her and told her to keep quiet.
The mother ox the victim, Mrs Benedict Sunday, reported the case to Davina Care Foundation whose Executive Director, Mrs Rachel Yohanna reported the case to the police at Abagana Police Station.
Policmen from the station arrested the suspects after which the victim was taken to a hospital where the defilement was confirmed.
The Spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident.
He said the state Police Commissioner, Echeng Echeng, ordered full investigation into the matter while ordering that the case be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department in Awka.
