The Lagos State University Faculty of Science International Conference (FOSIC2022) is here again and the event which has become an important annual event in international science scholars’ calendar will take place in December.
The theme for this year’s event is: Sustainable Development Goals: The Role of Science and Technology. The event, the 8th in the series, is slated to hold between Monday, 5 and Thursday, 8 December, 2022.
A press statement signed by the trio of: Professor SL Akintola, Dean of Faculty of Science; Professor RB Adegbola, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the event; Dr Abdul Azeez Anjorin, Secretary of the LOC; said between 500 and 700 participants are expected to attend the Conference.
The University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello (mni) will declare the conference open, while the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Science and Technology, Engr. Saheed Balogun will be the Chairman, Opening Ceremony.
The Vice-Chancellor, Summit University, Professor Abiodun Aibinu, will give the keynote address; just as his counterpart at Oduduwa University, Professor BS Aribisala, will deliver the special Guest Lecture. Topical issues will be addressed by Distinguished Scholars from the University of British-Columbia Canada; University of Dundee UK; United Nations- FAO; National Research Institute of Astronomy & Geophysics Egypt; and Nigerian Institute of Medical Research Lagos amongst others.
