It’s another honour for Lagos State University (LASU) don and Head, Department of Microbiology, Dr. Abdul-Azeez A. Anjorin as he has been nominated and selected as a Member of the World Society for Virology (WSV) Training and Career Development Committee.
Dr Anjorin’s nomination and selection was confirmed in a letter signed by the renowned Virologist, Founder and Chairman of the Governing Board for World Society for Virology (WSV), Professor Ahmed, S. Abdel-Moneim.
It is indeed another giant stride that has registered the name of the state University on the global fame of honour in the field of Virology and Medical Science.
Great scholars from other globally-acclaimed universities will be interacting with Dr. Anjorin in the WSV Committee.
The LASU don will serve as one of the few Africans in the Committee of the world body as featured on the official website of WSV.
This is another major honour for the Imota-born Virology Scholar.
Recently, he was awarded the Global Virus Network (GVN) training scholarship for a joint training at the Institute of Human Virology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health Baltimore, and the National Institute of Health (NIH), Bethesda, United States of America.
