The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, on Monday, 5 June, 2023, led other members of the University Management to a ‘Breakfast Meeting’ with the 33rd Lagos State University Students’ Union (LASUSU) Leaders, to discuss issues on welfare of the students of the University.
The meeting which was the first between the University Management and the 33rd LASUSU Executives, was held at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room, 6th Floor Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
Prof. Olatunji-Bello, while responding to the comments by the President of the Students’ Union, Comrade Abdulrahman Oreoluwa Agoro, acknowledged the students’ union for their cooperation and synergy with the University Management.
The Vice Chancellor assured the students’ leaders that her administration would continue to create an atmosphere conducive for learning and skills development.
She further appealed to the students to remain civil in their engagement with security officials in and outside the University, report any case of sexual abuse to the Centre for Response and Prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (CRPSGBV).
The meeting discussed matters relating to students on External shuttle services, Maintenance of Students’ Union Arcade, Adherence to time allocated for sporting activities, Students’ Marshals, Lighting up faculties on campus amongst others.
