The Class of 73/77 set of old students of Saka Tinubu Memorial High School, Orile Agege has launched an e-Library project students and teachers in the school.
The launching ceremony took place on Saturday, 11 November, 2023 at the school compound in Orile Agege. The event also coincided with the 46th Year Reunion of the set.
According to the President of the set, Ganiyu Mabayomije Dawodu, members of the set have always been imbued with the desire to contribute their quota to bringing back the old glory of the school.
“We registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. We have upgraded the new building by doing the tiles of most of the classes and we have also supplied the staff room with befitting furniture,” he said.
According to him, the e-Library project is meant to impact greatly and positively not only on the school but also teachers and students as well as members of the public in general.
“The facility would help facilitate students’ comprehension of universal systems of top rated sources. It will also provide teachers with more digital and research-based learning,” Dawodu said.
Items required for the setting up of the e-Library include: 20 desktop computers, 4 printers and scanners, 12 tables, 22 chairs, internet connection materials, 2 servers, 5KVA inverter and other components, solar panels (its accessories and components), concrete iron protectors installation and 10KVA generating set.
