The Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS) has called for application from indigenes of Ikorodu for the Late Justice Mubasheer Akanbi Abiru Scholarship Scheme.
The scheme is sponsored by the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the Upper Legislative Chamber, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru.
Applications for the scholarship opened on Friday, 20 January, 2023 and closes on Sunday, 20 February, 2023. Interested applicants are to apply via: https://www.ikoroduoga.com.ng/latejusticemubasheerakanbiabiru.
According to a statement released on Thursday, 19 January, 2023, by the IKODASS Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, the application is opened for all indigenes who are 18 as at their last birthday and in any Federal and State tertiary institutions
Applicants must also have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5 and must not have benefitted from any scholarship.
According to IKODASS, criteria that candidate must fulfilled are:
Must be a resident of Ikorodu.
Must be a bona-fide student of a Federal or State institution of tertiary education.
Must present a letter attesting to his or her character from either his or her Pastor, Imam or Traditional ruler.
Must not be older than 18 years as at the last birthday.
Must not be beneficiary of any other scholarship.
Successful candidates must not apply for any other scholarship while this scholarship subsists.
Must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.5.
Any recipient indicted in any vice, criminal or cult activity during the period of his or her scholarship automatically vitiates his or her scholarship.
Only applications submitted at https://www.ikoroduoga.com.ng/latejusticemubasheerakanbiabiru, are valid.
The decision of the Scholarship Board on all matters pertaining to applications for scholarship is final.
Candidate must be studying either Law, Information Technology, Accounting or Education in a Federal or State tertiary institution of learning.
