The Rector of Lagos State Polytechnic, Dr. Nurudeen Oluremi Olaleye has called on Youths to be focused on academic excellence and avoid actions and utterances that can distract them from achieving their desired goals, reports The Gazelle News.com.
Dr Olaleye spoke recently during a courtesy visit by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Alimosho Area Council, to his office in Ikorodu.
Dr. Olaleye said, “the only way to get to the top is to be diligent in one’s studies”. The Rector futher encouraged the students to be morally upright at all times.
Dr. Olaleye took the students through his life as a member of MSSN and various academic endeavors.
The representative of MSSN, Alimosho Area Council, Brother Alli Bello appreciated the Rector for warmly receiving members of the society as well as words of encouragement.
He said, “today’s programme will ever remain in our memory, we have been charged and we hope this will be a turning point in our success story to greatness”.
