The Head of Department of Microbiology in the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, Dr Abdul Azeez Anjorin has congratulated the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello over the success of the October/November 2023 Accreditation exercise conducted by the National University Commission (NUC), reports tuegazellenews.com
Dr Anjorin particularly appreciated Professor Olatunji-Bello over the full accreditation recorded by the Department of Microbiology, especially Microbiology as a course, during the exercise.
Thegazellenews.com gathered that the Microbiology course achieved full accreditation during the exercise after initial and subsequent denial of accreditation by the NUC which hitherto resulted in the suspension of the course from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Dr Anjorin expressed appreciation to Professor Olatunji-Bello for her purposeful leadership which has engendered a conducive teaching and learning environment in the University.
The letter of the result of the accreditation exercise signed by NUC’s acting Director of Accreditation, Dr Abraham Chundusu, dated Thursday, 6 June, 2024 was addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olatunji-Bello. It granted accreditation to 44 courses of the University.
