The Muslim Ladies Circle (MLC) has postponed the official launch of the N8.6 billion appeal fund for Crescent Schools earlier slated for Sunday, 24 March, 2024 in Lagos.
The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima is expected to chair the event at a date to be announced soonest.
His Royal Highness, Khalifah Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 14th Emir of Kano, remains the Keynote Speaker at the launch.
Meanwhile, prospective donors who might be keen on making their donations in the holy month of Ramadan in order to attract special rewards from Allah are encouraged to do so.
The fund raising is meant for the construction of a new 500 students-capacity boarding school facility at Bera Estate, off Chevron Drive, Ajiran, Lekki Lagos.
The project which will be sited on a 1.5 hectares of land would consist of blocks of classrooms, hostels, administrative building, staff quarters and a well-equipped recreational and sports centre, among other facilities.
The MLC is a non-governmental organisation formed with the main objective of contributing to the socio-economic development of the nation, particularly in the area of education and human capital development.
