Ademola Lookman, has disclosed that has no regret representing Nigeria at the international level instead of England.
Lookman plying his trade for Atalanta in Italy was born in Wandsworth, South West London, to Nigerian parents.
The 25-year-old Atalanta winger represented England at the youth level and initially turned down calls from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to represent his fatherland.
Lookman later agreed to switch allegiance with FIFA granting his request to play for the Super Eagles on February 10, 2022.
The pacy forward said he is happy with the decision to represent the three-time African champions.
“I have no regrets, I took the right decision. This is my career, I want to play for Nigeria and am proud of this. I was born in England, but my family is from Nigeria and I have a strong bond with both countries,” he told L’Eco di Bergamo.
Lookman has represented Nigeria six times since he switched his allegiance to Nigeria.
