The Chairman of Oshodi Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, has warned residents of the local government to be cautious in the wake of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, urging residents to strictly observe necessary precautions as announced by the state government.
The Chairman made the announcement while chatting with media on the surge in the cases of Covid-19 across the state, stressing that all hands must be on deck to curtail the spread of the deadly virus.
The council boss equally disclosed that in compliance with the directive of the state government, staff and all visitors to the local government are enjoined to ensure they wear face masks and wash their hands regularly as prevention is better than cure.
According to him, “let me use this opportunity to caution our people to ensure compliance with the directive of the state government to ensure wearing of face masks and shields while entering the local government. We need to join efforts of the state government in curtaining the spread of the deadly virus in our council area. Our staff members and visitors to the council are enjoined to wear face masks or else they will be denied access into the council premises.
“Let me reiterate that we shall not allow access to those who fail to wear their face masks from Monday, 9 August, 2021 in compliance with the directive of the state government.We need to prevent a spread of the virus in our council, state and country at large”.
