Arsenal Football of England are on the verge of signing its top midfield target Declan Rice as the England midfielder is due to undergoes a medical with the Gunners on today, Friday, 7 July, 2023 ahead of his £105 million move from West Ham, Skysports reports.
With this latest development, Arsenal may not meet Southampton’s £50 million asking price for Romeo Lavia.
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his central midfield even further following the departure of Granit Xhaka.
Recall that Xhaka officially left Arsenal to join Bayer Leverkusen in a £21.4million deal on Thursday, 6 July, 2023.
However, according to the reports, Arsenal will switch their focus to signing Lavia once their deal for Rice is complete, but the North London club are looking to sign the 19-year-old for less than Southampton’s £50 million valuation.
