The member representing Eti-Osa State Constituency 02 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Gbolahan Yishawu has commenced his yearly free dental care healthcare for 3000 constituents.
Speaking with constituents who came for the dental treatment held at Federal Civil service center Ikoyi described the programme as a laudable one.
Amamatu Dauda while speaking with journalists explained that the dental care programme organized by GOY helped her in proper checking of her teeth.
According to her, “I have been waiting for this programme since last month to commence to remove my teeth and thank God that it happened”.
She appreciated Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu for taking care of the constituents not minding the cost.
Mr. Afinnih Rilwan who came for the first time said the programme is not basically for Yishawu to campaign for reelection, saying it is part of him to take care of his constituents.
“This is my first time attending this dental programme because I have an issue with my teeth and see this as an avenue to see a dentist. I have benefited immensely from his programmes and I always pray for him”, he added.
Dr. Banjo Tunde, the chief dentist of First Mobile Dental care while speaking with newsmen said dental treatment is very expensive which contributed to why people could not afford it.
He said, “This is a great opportunity for people to have dental treatment, especially in this locality. We noticed that people come out with poor hygiene, bad teeth we have done extraction today and cleaned people’s teeth. It is a great privilege for people that reside in this constituency.
He said further that cleaning and polishing are from N15, 000 in a private clinic and 10,000 in a government hospital. An extraction is about N15, 000 to N20, 000, so if you take that off a patient, then he can use the money for something else.
The people after registration would enjoy free extradition, filling, scaling polishing, surgical extradition, and tooth replacement.
The health programme which commenced Monday, 7 February, 2022, has several people in attendance.
This 7th edition exercise is expected to end on February 18, 2022.
