Former governorship aspirant in Lagos State, Ahmed Olorunfemi Mustapha has been accused of holding onto his wife’s possessions even while allegedly selling their house in Lagos without her knowledge, thegazellenews.com exclusively reports.
This medium also reports that Ahmed Mustapha contested the last governorship of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 but lost.

Now his wife of 22 years, Elizabeth Bolanle Mustapha, has lodged several allegations against him in the course of their matrimonial sojourn.

In a well detailed safe our souls statement to Nigerians, in possession of thegazellenews.com, Bolanle Mustapha explained in details how and when she got married to the former governorship aspirant and how she invested her time, love and resources in the marriage and the political ambition of Mustapha.
Bolanle accused Ahmed of not only selling their house but also denying her access to retrieve her belongings.

She also accused him of holding onto to the Certificate of Occupancy of a plot of land belonging to her father which she gave to him.
On seeking for the return of the land document, another shocker hit Bolanle, her husband told her he had handed over the document to his lawyer as part of their divorce settlement. The woman was not amazed, she was distraught, because according to her, she was never informed about any divorce case.
“I sent a message to him asking him about my possessions and about my Father’s document and this, is what he sent to me below:
‘The documents have been given to the lawyer as part of the divorce settlement’.
“I am hearing of a DIVORCE PROCEEDING AFTER a message I sent to him requesting for my documents in the house!!
“Such wickedness and callousness after 22 years of marriage!!!
“A chat message informing me of a divorce!
“So if I had not requested for my documents, I wouldn’t know that he had already started a divorce proceeding,” Bolanle lamented in her statement.
That was not only the nightmare for the woman. She also accused her husband of not only allowing a strange woman into their home but also giving the woman access to take over her belongings.
“His friend, namely Ayanbadejo Jibike Adamson of LIRS promptly took over my house in my absence.

“My cars, clothes, possessions, everything I have are in her possession!
This is someone Ahmed hated and was always running away from!!
She became his adviser, friend and confidant in my absence,” Bolanle alleged.
Going through memory lane, Bolanle narrated how and when she got into matrimony with Mustapha and her experience in 22 years old union which produced two children: two boys.
According to her, “On October 2, 2003, I married Ahmed Olorunfemi Mustapha, and I was excited about the prospect of a happy married life, much like my parents, who had been together for 61 years! Unfortunately, mine wasn’t! I had no idea that I was getting married to my worst enemy! My worst nightmare”.
She stated that she brought all she owned into the marriage and make marital sacrifice by taking care of the three children Mustapha brought into the marriage.
“When we were married, one was eight years old and the others who are twins were three years old,” she narrated.
“I treated these kids as my own, making sure they attended the top institutions and colleges, respectively, LASU and Lead City University. Together with my two biological sons”.
According to her, when former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN gave him an appointment, they had to pull all their resources together for them to return to Nigeria to take up the appointment.
Bolanle said she hoped for the best with their return to Nigeria but unfortunately the relationship deteriorated.
According to her, Mustapha started blaming her for everything that happened to him negatively while also making life difficult for her.
“He continues to blame me for everything! When I smile at someone, I’m making acquaintances with them. He installs a tracker in every car and tracks all my movements. I have to tell him where I’ve gone when I return home.
I became so terrified of going out because he continually accused me,” she narrated.
Bolanle stated that Mustapha even accused her of sleeping with their driver, Mufutau which led to the driver being sacked a new one engaged.
According to her, the new driver was not as professional as the sacked one. The new driver’s reckless driving led to an auto crash which claimed the life of one of her sons, Rahman, a part one student of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo.
When the accident occured, Bolanle alleged, Mustapha did not contacted her nor any member of her family because she had returned to America by then based on agreement between the two of them allegedly to work and raise money for their upkeep and pay debts incurred from his unsuccessful political venture.
“After the accident, he refused to contact members of my family and it was a friend of his that contacted them. My family contacted me and I rushed back home to take care of my son,” she said.
Sadly, Bolanle narrated, her son died the very day she landed in Nigeria from the injuries sustained from the auto-crash.

It was indeed a painful experience for her and after mourning the death of her son, she had no option than to return to America with the second son and her only surviving child, Abdul Raheem, thegazellenews.com learnt.
And to add salt to the festering injury for her, Mustapha allegedly held a loud wedding for his daughter just two months after the death of Abdul Rahman.

“They couldn’t even mourn him,” she lamented.
According to her, while in America, ‘I was still supporting Ahmed, ensuring foodstuffs was not lacking in the house, I had someone get foodstuffs to the house every month and paid for all. I also paid for all house helps including his security details.
“I also send money to him every month to support him and also towards his gubernatorial ambition of becoming Lagos State Governor. He borrowed money running into millions of naira to buy his APC nomination forms. Being a dutiful wife, I worked hard to repay the loan. I was working 18 hours per day in order to achieve this but he ended up accusing me of witchcraft after he lost out”.
When thegazellenews.com visited the couple’s house at 7 Law Close, Unilag Estate, Isheri/Magodo during the course of investigating this story, it was deserted and under lock and key.
