At least 16 people lost their lives in a road accident that occured around Agbowo Expressway along the Ojoo Iwo Road in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Tuesday, 13 August, 2024.
It was gathered that four vehicles were involved in the accident, just as it was also gathered that other people who were involved in the accident sustained various degrees of injuries.
It was learnt that victims who sustained injuries were taken to nearby hospitals.
Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Rosemary Alo, confirmed the development to in statement issued on Tuesday, 13 August, 2024
Alo in the statement said “Action Taken: The injured victims were taken to Amudalat hospital at Agbowo area Ibadan for medical attention while the Corpses were handed over to DTO, NPF Kajorepo and were taken to Akinyele Cemetery, Ibadan.
