The Ajijola Ruling House of Araromi Tope Eleranigbe in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State have announced the passing away of their family head, Omo Oba Shaffy Adeleke Ajijola (FCA ,FCEA,FICM U.K).
Omo Oba Ajijola who is the father of Araromi Eleranigbe monarch, Oba Hameed Adejoro Ajijola died on Tuesday 10th October 2023 after a brief illness.
He has since been buried according to Islamic rites. He was aged 84.
Omo Oba Ajijola who was also the Olori Ebi Iyalode/Erinle House of Epe was born on 17 October 1939.
He is survived by Oba(Dr) Hameed Adejoro Ajijola (Olu of Araromi Tope, Eleranigbe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos) and Prince Hakeem Adetoro Ajijola.
The eight-day prayer is slated to hold on Wednesday, 18 October, 2023 at 11, Abudu Street, off 2nd Ramat, Alhaja bus-stop, Ogudu, Lagos while the final burial ceremony is expected to hold on Saturday, 21 October, 2023 at Jubilee Chalets, Chalet Road, Off Obafemi Awolowo Road, Oke Oyinbo, Epe, Lagos.
The monarch’s father had his elementary education at Local Authority School, Araromi, Ibeju- Lekki. He went to University of London to study Accountancy.
He worked at United Nations offices in Geneva, Germany and U.K. as an Accountant before he was transferred to United Nations office in Nigeria.
He resigned from the United Nations in 1985 to become Financial Controller at SCOA.
The late Ajijola is a fellow of Association of Cost and Executive Accountants, Hermitage,London; Institute of Chartered Financial Controller and Administrators USA; Institute of Commerce, London and National School of Salesmanship, England among others.
He later founded .S.A Ajijola & Co, an Accounting/Audit firm in 1988.
