In yet another demonstration of exemplary representation, the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke, is set to empower 2,100 constituents through a comprehensive training and financial support programme.
Few weeks ago, Dr. Faleke invited nominations from party leaders, market women associations, Community Development Committees (CDC), Community Development Associations (CDA), youth groups, religious and traditional leaders, among others, to submit names of prospective beneficiaries.
The selection process has now concluded, the names of successful candidates have been released, and the training and empowerment initiative is scheduled to commence on Thursday, 20 March, 2025.
This large-scale empowerment programme, one of many spearheaded by the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, will be conducted in collaboration with the Federal Department of Oceanography.
At the end of the training programmes, each participants will receive training in various vocational skills, followed by cash grants to either establish businesses based on their newly acquired skills or enhance their existing enterprises.
Dr. Faleke’s unwavering commitment to service has positively impacted thousands of lives across Ikeja Federal Constituency. Through consistent training, skill acquisition programmes, and financial empowerment, he continues to uplift residents, fostering economic independence and sustainable development.
