Few weeks after the death of popular Lagos socialite and music promoter, Dotun Olaribigbe aka Lobito, his friend and another famous Lagos socialite, Otunba Adebayo Kassim of the popular Kass Chicken in the 90s has died, reports thegazellenews.com.
Kassim died on Thursday, 28 July, 2022, incidentally, the very day, Lobito, his friend, was being buried.
Otunba Kassim was also a close associate of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
AdeKass as he was fondly called, according to media mogul, Bashorun Dele Momodu, helped in raising funds for the burial of his late friend, Lobito.
Infact in his tribute to his late friend, he wrote “Good night my general,we have been friends for 45years, not one day we don’t talk, I will greatly missed you. Wait for me at the heaven’s gate. See you at the other side, your friend and brother forever”.
Ade as he was also fondly called, died on Thursday, July 28 and has been buried immediately according to Islamic rites.
In his 60s, Kassim also contested for the office of the Chairmanship of Surulere Local Government in early 2000. Together with his sisters: Folake and Shade, who are well-known socialites, the trio took over the running of their late father’s business, the popular fast food joint, Kas Chicken, which had outlets at Allen Avenue, Ikeja and Surulere, Lagos.
