A newborn baby has been dumped in the gutter in Umuahia by an unknown person.
The baby was discovered inside the deep gutter at Umuwaya Road, opposite Abam Street,in the Abia State capital on Thursday, 7 November, 2024
As atthe evening of Thursday, 7 November, 2024, it was not certain if the child is still alive or not.
The crowd that gathered at the scene of the incident rained curses on anyone who committed the dastardly act.
According to them, the mother should have taken the baby to the Abia State government, church or a motherless babies home, instead of throwing it away.
As at the time of filing in this report, Abia State Police Command has not comment on the development.
