A palm wine tapper identified as Sunday Mima has been arrested by operatives of the Ondo State police command for allegedly raping Felicia Aderibigbe , an 80-year-old grandmother to death in her farm.
The state Police Spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, saying that the alleged action of Mima was a case of rape and murder.
Odunlami added that the suspect would soon be paraded by the command after interrogation and subsequently charged to court.
The suspect allegedly attack Aderibigbe, a native of Ore in Odigbo council in the state, on her farm, stripped her naked and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The suspect was apprehended by some youths in the community who reportedly found in his possession the victim’s mobile telephone.
