A woman named Joy Oyaghiri-Fagbemi is currently enjoying encomiums and praises from members of her community for fixing their bad transformer and also paying one month worth electricity bill for the whole community.
The woman who is from Omokwa Community in Abua/Odual LGA, Rivers State said her people reached out to her that they needed light as they had been cut off the grid for about a year
When she got there, she also found that the transformer was bad, so she decided to fix it
“I paid for the transformer to be fixed, which wasn’t cheap. I paid for reconnection back to the LGA grid, and paid for one month worth of electricity bills. All this from my pocket.
“The joy I saw in the faces of men, women and youths of my community, the text messages of gratitude, was truly humbling,” she narrated.
