Hon. Adeyemi Alli, Member representing Mushin 1 Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of senior citizens. He believes that elders are the pillars of society and has made it his mission to bring joy and recognition to them.
During his tenure as Council Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Alli pioneered a programme to support the elderly, which was widely acclaimed and emulated by state governors. Since assuming office as a Member of the National Assembly, he has continued this legacy, making it a yearly program. This year marks the 5th edition.
Notably, within his first six months at the National Assembly, Hon. Alli introduced a bill mandating the federal government to provide a monthly allowance for senior citizens, awaiting presidential approval.
At a recent event, Hon. Rasak Ajala commended Hon. Alli’s dedication to the elderly and announced the reinstatement of the feeding program, which was initially halted due to previous abuse by some individuals. Hon. Ajala praised Hon. Alli’s commitment to ensuring the continuation of his legacy.
The event highlighted the distribution of palliative packages and โฆ5000 to over 400 beneficiaries, demonstrating Hon. Alli’s tireless efforts to support the elderly.
Through his actions, Hon. Adeyemi Alli has proven himself to be a true champion of senior citizens, and his legacy continues to inspire and uplift the community.
