The late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari, has been described as a man who symbolised loyalty, commitment and dedication to cause of duty.
The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Adebayo Osinowo stated this on Saturday, 18 April, 2020 while paying tribute to the deceased Presidential aide.
Senator Osinowo described his death as not only a big blow to the President whom he worked directly with; to his family who he played fatherly role on; but also to Nigeria, the country he served with all his might and talent.
“He was loyalty, commitment and dedication personified. He went about his duty with dignified calmness and dedication. His loyalty to the President; his commitment and dedication to see Nigeria grow and develop were never in doubt. He was a man of honour and dignity,” the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry said.
Senator Osinowo said further that the death of Mallam Abba Kyari and others from the Coronavirus pandemic should heightened the collective resolve of Nigerians to fight and defeat the deadly virus.
“We must fight this battle together and we must come together and face this common enemy in Coronavirus. We must adhere strictly to precautions and instructions put in place experts in the health profession. We must also obey simple hygienic procedures of keeping our environment clean always, wash our hands all the time and maintain social distance,” he said.
“On behalf of the people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I condole with President Muhammadu Buhari and the Kyari family on this irreparable loss. And I pray that Almighty Allah reward his soul with al-Janat firdaos,” he said.
