The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has given customers with outstanding bills 72-hour ultimatum to settle their debts or face disconnection.
The ultimatum was given via a statement released on Friday, 31 May, 2024, signed by the acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr Victor Ojelabi.
According to the statement, customers who have outstanding bills to settle have until Monday, 3 June, 2024, to do so as the electricity firm is set to commence massive disconnection of power supply to customers who are owing.
“AEDC emphasizes the importance of adhering to payment deadlines to ensure efficient and reliable service.
“The timely payment of electricity bills remains crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of AEDC’s infrastructure, which is essential for delivering uninterrupted service to the community.
“All outstanding bills must be paid within 72 hours of this notice, by Monday, June 3, 2024,” the statement concluded.
