Voters across Ijumu Arin have insisted on Dr. Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami as the only candidate they can vote for in the forth coming Kabba-Bunu Ijumu House of Representatives election in Kogi State.
The group, led by Comrade Gabriel Adeolu Adegoke, made this known in Iyara Monday evening.
Adegoke, who led team of youths who were said to belong to different parties, said, Tokunbo came into this race in full force, to make ADC, which was hardly known in this Local Government attractive, to the extent of placing it on a highly competitive pedestal to rub shoulder favourable with the mega parties in the constituency.
He said the Ijumu Arin has adopted ADC as its party for coming election, and as such, will resist attempt at foisting a none Ijumu Arin person, who did not partake in building the structure of the party, on the electorates.
The group wonders where the party leaders were, when Tokunbo single handedly rented accommodation for party offices and hoisted ADC flag in all the wards in Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu Local Government.
The group cleared that the plan of electorates in Ijumu Arin is to use ADC to reaffirm the existing rotation system which ijumu is known for, and which the other mega parties are trying to mess up.
Adegoke therefore counsels the leadership of ADC to embrace justice if they don’t want the rising profile of ADC in the constituency, to suddenly go down, the same way it rose into fame.
