Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group A of the coming African Cup of Nations competition taking place in Cote D’Ivoire between January and February, 2024.
At the draw conducted in Abidjan on Thursday, 12 October, 2023, the Super Eagles were drawn to face West African rivals and hosts, Elephant of Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau and Equitoral Guinea.
The last time Nigeria met Cote D’Ivoire in the AFCON was in the Quarter Final of the event in South Africa. The Eagles beat the Elephants 2-1 and went on to win the competition for the third time.
Nigeria met Guinea-Bissau in the qualifying tournament for the competition where honours were shared. Guinea-Bissau won in Abuja while the Eagles prevailed in Guinea-Bissau
