Like the proverbial gold fish that has no hiding place, the goodness of mercurial African football legend has found him, with his latest recognition by the Federal Government of Nigeria as an Officer of the Niger (OON).
More than his untold impact on the football world, this great Nigerian has remained very important to the verve and vitality of Nigerian and world football. So much so, he was too good, they named him twice as; Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha.
Speaking on the latest feat of the mercurial legend, Prince Dapo Ajibade, Chief Executive Officer of Abaj Multilinks Company, the organisers of the event, enthused that the latest honour bestowed on Okocha is a true testimonial of his importance to the development of continental and global football.
