The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has left the police office in Abuja after spending about an hour and a few minutes with officials of the Nigerian Police in Abuja, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the labour leader had arrived at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) command at Guzape as early as 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, 29 August, 2024 in the company of human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, Deji Adeyanju, and several senior NLC officials.
The police authorities had invited Ajaero for questioning over alleged links to terrorism financing.
Although Ajaero did not speak to newsmen at the IRT headquarters, he stated that he would address the media at the NLC headquarters.
Thegazellenews.com recalls that the police had previously invited Ajaero to appear at the IRT office on Tuesday, 20 August, 2024 at 10 a.m. to answer questions regarding to allegations of terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ajaero was unable to attend on the initial date but honored the invitation today, Thursday, 29 August, 2024.
