It is the era for youth dominance of the Nigerian political space as the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Sen. Babafemi Ojudu; and a Youth Advocate, Alex Adekunle James; announced a book, with a fully mapped out roadmap for upright, innovative and young elites to flood the political space, taking over the structured parties and ultimately dominating the seats of government.
The book is titled ‘Politics that Works – What Schools and Seminars Won’t Teach You About Winning Elections.
The ground breaking book will be officially presented on Monday, 4 October, 2021 in a conference that will be chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, among other dignitaries.
The manual, first of its kind in Nigeria, has 10 chapters that comes with step-by-step strategies for creative, upright and young elites to flood the political space, taking over the structured parties and ultimately dominating the seats of government.
An 11th chapter was added, where the authors had exclusive interviews with young political office holders, and documented their political journey and winning tactics. They include: the House of Representatives members from Oyo State, Hon. Shina Peller and Hon Olumide Ojerinde; from Ondo State, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye (Small Alhaji); from Kano State, Hon Ibrahim Hafiz Kahu; and a Benue state House of Assembly member and Minority Whip, Honorable Cephas Nyako.
The book’s foreword was written by the Leader in the 7th Senate and former Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba .
Endorsements for the book were written by: the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christain Center, Dr. Sam Adeyemi; the Founder/CEO of Cable Newspapers, Simon Kolawole; a Professor of Political Science, Federal University of Oye Ekiti, Azeez O. Olaniyan, PhD; a reputable young politician and member of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Hon. Dayo Israel, among others.
Speaking about the book, Ojudu’s youthful collaborator, Mr Alex Adekunle narrates how Ojudu is deeply passionate about equipping the next generation of leaders to transform Nigeria into a first world nation and for that reason, he has poured his many decades of experience as a political journalist, a political strategist, who has served at the top level in the campaign of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s gubernatorial race in 1999 and has also been at the forefront of several victorious senatorial, governorship, and presidential race, into this book .
Ojudu describes Alex Adekunle as a resourceful, patriotic and passionate young Nigerian who is very passionate about seeing members of his generation take over the affairs of Nigeria and run a country of the 21st century.
A very intriguing continuity and sustainability plan to the Politics that Works book is the brilliantly structured program called MOP Nigeria, where interested youths would be enrolled into a mentorship program that will give guardianship and support to 500 young Nigerians to participate and get into positions of power by 2031.
The authors have created a dedicated website as a data-house for adequate information on the book, mentorship program and the conference www.politicsthatworksbook.com
