I read online, a malicious statement by the Osun Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode that I, Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi, led thugs to attack Ward Congress Appeal Committee members.
May I state categorically that I didn’t and couldn’t have led thugs to attack anybody, how much more, the body that is legally sent from our National Secretariat to sort crisis deliberately caused by the government she serves to destabilise our party, the APC.
It is quite unfortunate that the commissioner decided to lie publicly in order to cover the iniquity being committed by the government she serves.
The person whose picture she displayed holds an IleriOluwa cap, does it mean the man is an acolyte of Governor Oyetola and at the same time a committee member?
What happened was that the party members that came to submit their petition were well organized and well behaved. But we were all taken aback when thugs of Ileri Oluwa, a faction of APC in Osun sponsored by the governor came out of nowhere and decided to attack them. The video of this dastardly attack has since gone viral. I was there, so I saw everything.
It takes only a politically naive person that lie that a sympathiser of the Governor is a member of the committee and at the time claimed I led thugs to attack.
May I note that as a gentleman who had served in the public service of Oyo and Osun diligently and retired without any blemish and had since moved on to be Christ like example in politics long before Egbemode was “asked to come and chop”.
When I joined politics, I was part of the team that struggled to reclaim the Progressives mandate in 2010 and moved from glory to glory to become the acting Chairman of the Action Congress (AC), the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and pioneer the foundation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) without blemish.
I have the grace of having been in the vineyard of God the almighty since birth and by His grace, am a reverend gentleman, duly ordained.
I am surprised that somebody like Egbemode who was not at party Secretariat when I arrived party Secretariat shamelessly decided to misinform the populace and it is disgusting to note that she must have misled the general public with her lie filled reports in the past.
I take Egbemode’s antics as that of a drowning man who is desperate to clutch to any straw to survive the onslaught that the government she serves is faced with.
They kept sustaining their lies with many lies and they wont stop until they lose face and become a play thing to the whole world.
I advise Egbemode to look for another person to brand as thuggery purveyor like her ilk and sponsors who pretend as gentlemen when in actual fact, they are trouble makers.
