A chieftain of the Nigeria’s ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) had commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the progress that the country has recorded so far.
The National Vice Chairman of the Ghana chapter of the party, Hon. Ayokanmi Ogunremi who spoke thegazellenews.com in Accra, Ghana said that the President who assumed office in less than a year has began to reposition the country among committee of nations.
He said in few months that Asiwaju Tinubu assumed office, the image of Nigeria is receiving good credibility.
“You will agree with me that to travel from Nigeria to Ghana was traveling from earth to paradise, holding Nigeria Passport was a great offence to the Immigration, but the President is changing the narrative and we believe that in few months, holders of Nigeria International Passport will be toasts at the various borders and airports across the world,” he assured.
Hon. Oyekanmi expressed that Ghana APC will collaborate effectively with the Tinubu led government to strengthen Ghana-Nigeria diplomatic relationship. “We will soon role out activities that will make the government win more attention in Ghana and even across West Africa,” he said.
Oyekanmi also commend the founding father of the new breed of APC in Ghana.
He stressed that Chief Chalse Mitchelette had laid a very strong foundation for the pparty in Ghana.
“You know that Chief Mitchelette remains our Chairman here and this man had played a great role for the party. As his Vice, I can boldly say that, my Chairman is a true lover of APC. He had led this party for close to a decade. He singlehandedly gave us party secretariat and for me he is a worthy leader,” he said.
Oyekanmi stated out that the Ghana chapter of APC had always played a major role during election.
“We have always travelled to Nigeria in numbers to vote for our candidates. This we have started since the time of our former President, Muhammad Buhari. We also mobilise members to states during governorship elections. We will surely not relent,” he emphasised.
Investigations by thegazellenews.com revealed that Ghana APC mobilised no fewer than 400,000 members during the presidential election as well as some governorship elections which took place in the country.
