A member of the Nigerian Senate representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni has said that despite the critical situation Nigeria finds itself, the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing its best to see the country rise to greatness again.
He implored all Nigerians to tolerate a little bit more, support the government, as the socio-economic situation of the country continues to improve.
Senator Eshinlokun-Sanni also said that he and his colleagues at the National Assembly are working assiduously to support the government in creating a conducive habitable environment for Nigerians to live and thrive.
The Lagos Central Senator who was represented by his Chief of Staff, former Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, Hakeem Adeniji, spoke during a goodwill message he delivered at TheGazelleNews.com 2024 Public Lecture/Award Night held at Radisson Blu Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State on Thursday, 5 December, 2024.
The lawmaker, while acknowledging the challenges Nigerians are currently facing, said President is working round the clock to make things become better.
“The government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is doing the best to see our country rise to greatness again. I can only implore us all to tolerate a little bit more, support the government, as things will soon become better,” Senator Eshinlokun-Sanni, who was Guest of Honour at the public lecture, said.
“At the National Assembly, my colleagues and I are working assiduously to support the government in creating a conducive habitable environment for our people to live and thrive,” the lawmaker added.
Eshinlokun-Sanni, former Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, said he was highly honoured to be invited as a guest to the auspicious occasion, adding that the importance of the event cannot be over emphasised, “as the media played a very pivotal role in the enthronement and sustenance of the present democracy we are enjoying in our dear country today.
“As a player and beneficiary in that democracy, I hold the Nigerian Media in very high esteem and will always be available to grace any event related to promoting its ideals. The Gazelle News has been playing a good role of dissemination of information and purveying of objective news”.
Eshinlokun encouraged TheGazelleNews management to continue to be patriotic in the discharge of their duties by refraining from promoting news that is capable of creating disunity among Nigerian nationalities, just as he also used opportunity to admonish other Media houses to always report events objectively.
